Talented young reinsman Kyle Harper has returned from a successful stint in North America with the highlight being driving a winner at Yonkers with a horse called Fort Knox.
Kyle through family friendshelp made his dream come true to drive and work in America, he would have still been in the USA expect for visa issues.
He went to the US under suspension from West Australian stewards and could only drive for around a month and half of the three months he was in the US,but would love to return in the near future.
Harper travelledregularly to what Americans call the Qualifiers (our trials) to drive in hope of picking up race drives, he explained that the top drivers don’t usually attend these qualifiers so if you do the work and you drive well you can sometimes pick up race drive.
Harper, now back in his home state of WA, has his stable star Bettors Fire back in work his brother Donald jogged and pace worked the son of Bettors Delight while his younger brother was overseas.
Bettors Fire trialled at Byford on Sunday he is being prepared another stint at an Inter-dominion later this year at Gloucester Park.
Bettors Fire has won 26 times from his 68 starts, Harper also trailed 2013 Kalgoorlie Cup winner Springsteen at Byford on Sunday the son of American Ideal appears to have benefited from a spell
Harper who turned 26 this month is the son of former leading Perth reinsman Lindsay Harper.
