Sisters to many Group and classic winners and a smattering of top racemares adorn the catalogue for the Shepparton Mixed Sale, to be held at the Shepparton Racing Complex on Sunday, September 6.

 

Yeronga Songbird, one of the greatest fillies ever produced in this country and the winner of $256,977, will go up for auction on the day. The dam of Vicbred Final placegetter Stormwarning and last-start Ballarat three-year-old winner Orbison Castle, the Classy Garry mare carries a positive test to Grinfromeartoear.

 

Other smart racemares listed in the catalogue are the Victoria Youthful Stakes winner and Oaks runner-up Vista Bella ($110,021), the NSW Oaks placegetter Lahaini, the Melbourne winners Kiss And Fly, Room With A View and Charlotte Two and the Mount Gambier Gold Cup winner Tarbert.

 

There’s half-sisters to a string of top performers including Sushi Sushi, Abettorpunt, Franco Tiger, Maggie’s Son, Stihletto, Ruffle My Feathers, Triple Vance, Nightn Georgia, Village Hero (1:50.6), Four Sisters, Master Maori and Chocolate Brownie.

 

Mares are in-foal to well credentialled sires such as Art Major, American Ideal, Sportswriter, Shadow Play, Rock N Roll Heaven, Roll With Joe, Betterthancheddar, A Rocknroll Dance, Western Terror, Blissfull Hall, Auckland Reactor, Caribbean Blaster and Majestic Son.
