The first two rounds of the Allamerican Ingot Race Series were contested at Shepparton on September 16th and Launceston on September 18th
The Dornauf family’s Royal Knockout may have already delivered the winning blow when he flew home to win round one at the juicy odds of around 20/1
Having already pocketed the $5,700 winner’s cheque plus a free service to Allamerican Ingot valued at $990 from his first race win the geldings blistering 1:57.5 winning mile rate will be hard to better for the overall series prize
The Allamerican Ingot Race Series sponsored by Judi and Ian Slater of Goodtime Lodge in Victoria comprises four races in three states
If Royal Knockout’s 1:57.5 winning rate is not bettered the owners of the 5 y o son of Sportswriter and the Fake Left mare Paksa Punch will receive a Perth Mint pure gold ingot valued at approximately $700
In round two the owners of the superbly bred Glenenise (Somebeachsomewhere – Specialize) took home the free service to Allamerican Ingot but her winning rate of 2:02.9 did not threaten the series leader
However Barrie Rattray who accepted the prize on behalf of the owners and trainer/driver his son Todd said they were all delighted to win the service to such a well bred stallion
The final two rounds of the series will be conducted at Terang on September 20th and Port Pirie on September 23rd and those runners will be chasing hard to beat the 1:57.5 mile rate needed to take out the overall Series prize
