A young stallion creating a bit of interest from astute breeders is the son of Somebeachsomewhere GODDTIME SAMMY who is standing at Goodtime lodge near Colac.

Goodtime Sammy in spending a season in the breeding barn after breaking down in the APG Semi Finals at Menangle last year.

Unbeaten in his only four starts Goodtime Sammy stamped himself as one of the best two-year-olds of his season.

He won easily first up Charlton then took on the top liners in Youthful Stakes at Melton in which he showed blistering gate speed to cross from the outside and won untouched by 8 metres.

His next victory was a heat of the APG series at Melton before heading to Menangle for the Semi-finals after leading from gate two Goodtime Sammy broke a pedal bone in the run but still had the courage and ability to win easily.

Goodtime Sammy is by the champion sire Somebeachsomewhere, out of a Beach Towel mare called Graces Beach, who is also the dam of Goodtime Bobby (11 wins) and has a 3yo called Goodtime Rumur (by Shadyshark Hanover) which trailed in August and a yearling colt also by Shadyshark Hanover.

Graces Beach, being by Little Brown Jug winner Beach Towel (1:50), who also figures as the damsire of Somebeachsomewhere.

Grace’s Beach is a half-sister to three winners including the Listed winner Goodtime Marjie (1:54.4), being out of Next Strike, by What’s Next from the Muckalee Strike mare Arma Strike, the dam of the Australian Pacing Gold champion Exotic Strike.
Goodtime Sammy is from the N31 family which contains past champions such as Armalight, Goldrush Girl, and Good Lookin Girl the 2008 4yo and older Australian Mare of the Year.
