A feature of the catalogue for the Harnessbred, South Australian Yearling Sale to be held on Sunday, February 21 at Globe Derby Park is the high percentage of winning and winner-producing dams represented in the sale.
Almost 75 percent of the youngsters are out of race-winning dams, while a number are from winner-producing mares.
The catalogue includes yearlings out of sub 2:00 mares in Dungeon Queen, French Fashion (2nd in WA Sales Classic), Eastwood Countess and Kittykat Katie and the Globe Derby winners Rivergum Magic, Arm A Corka, Loveliest, Northern Ash and Damselfly.
The dams listed have left horses such as Southern Cross 2YO runner-up Rockfromcork, All Action Hero (Southern Cross heat), Caroline Bay (1:59.9), Dancing Joroco (1:59.8 and $74,433), Nediak (1:59.2 and $60,097).
Nominations for the mixed segment of the Harnessbred.com South Australian sale will close on Friday, February 12 at 5pm.
The mixed auction will be held immediately following the SA Yearling Sale on Sunday, February 21.
The SA Breeders, Owners, Trainers and Reinsperson’s Association, who is organising the sale, has already received a number of entries for the mixed section.
