bb2It’s great to Western Australia Trotting Association supporting local stud owners by running Westsired Pace for both colts and geldings and fillies division.

Local sire Rich And Spoilt sired both winners Sergeant Oats in the colts & geldings division and Sarah Goody took out the fillies event.

Connections of Sergeant Oats said the colt will now have a crack at next month’s $100,000 2YO Westbred Colts and Geldings Pace (2130m) and the $125,000 Golden Slipper Pace (2130m).

Reinsman Morgan Woodley took the Courtney Burch-trained Sergeant Oats to an early lead after he had begun brilliantly from gate nine.

Sergeant Oats win gave Burch, 27, her 70th win as a trainer this season.

Just a $9000 purchase at a Perth yearling saleSergeant Oats is out of the Mystical Prince mare Miss Mystique.

The Kevin Keys-trained Sarah Goody (Rich and Spoilt- Forrest Intruder)  ran on strongly to win last night’s $25,000 2YO Westsired Fillies Pace (2130m).

Keys said Sarah Goody would start in the $100,000 2YO Westbred Fillies Pace (2130m) on July 1.

Despite his continued success in the breeding barn Rich And Spoilt still only served 11 mares last season.
