Like mother like daughter as Ordinaire Jane took out the Group 3 Bandbox Stakes l (Tasmania’s Sire Stakes) Final in Launceston on Sunday night at only her second start.
Ordinaire Jane dam, Cam River, won the 2000 Bandbox Final.
Trainer and part-owner Brooke Hammond races the filly with her parents John and Jill. The family also bred the Stonebridge Regal filly.
Cam River has also produced five others winners including Cat Bay, Stone Skipper and Real River whose victories all run into double figures
As expected Ryley Major took out the Group 3 Globe Derby Final..
Rohan Hillier had Ryley Major away quickly from barrier two and he cruised along in front before racing well clear in the home straight.
Unbeaten in eight starts this season, Ryley Major will now tackle the Breeders Crown final in Victoria in August.
