Tasmanian trainer Ben Yole is within sight of the magical 100 winners this season, what makes this target unique is that no other trainer in Tasmania has ever cracked the ton before.
Yoleprepared another four winners in Launceston on Sunday night to take his season tally to 80 winners with 20 meetings remaining.
Yole is over 50 wins clear of his nearest rival Paul Ashwood so there is no doubt about Yole winning his first trainer’s title.
Mark Yole, Ben’s younger brother drove three winners on Sunday to take his season tally to 66 wins to put him 11 wins clear of his nearest rival Ricky Duggan. While 11 winners is achievable for Duggan ( who has won four Tasmanian Drivers premierships 1998, 2003, 2004, 2005) to make up he would have to break with his own tradition, see the veteran Duggan ever seldom travels north of Campbelltown during Tasmanian winters.
Ben has 7 runners at Launceston on Sunday evening & 13 on Monday in Hobart while brother Mark has 7 drives in Launceston and 4 in Hobart.
So barring a miracle Tassie looks set to crown the Yole brothers kings in 2015/16 season..
