The Cam’s Card Shark horse Shadyshark Hanover, who was the fastest three-year-old in North America in his year, is riding high on the USA two-year-old Sires’ list with his first racing crop.
The brilliant, young stallion has left 51 starters from 88 foals for 31 winners and they have amassed $697,043, according to the US Trotting Association’s computer on October 3.
Shadyshark Hanover ranks third among the first-season sires, behind only Big Bad John and Roll With Joe.
He has 11 in the 1:55 list and 24 in 2:00 headed up by the brilliant two-year-old filly Ginger Shark 1:52.4 ($142,500) and the Fox Stakes winner Sombaro Montae (1:55.6).
Legere (1:53.4) and Shady Stella (1:54.2), both Indiana Sire Stakes winners, JD’s Chancy Design (1:53.2), Sharkitude (1:53.8) and Shady Caroline (1:54.6) are other smart performers from Shadyshark Hanover’s initial crop.
‘Shady’s’ oldest Australian stock are two-year-olds and are showing marked ability in the first preparations.
