Shadyshark Hanover was credited with his first feature race winner when the two-year-old filly Ginger Shark Shadyshark-Hanover600x480captured a $75,000 Final of the Indiana Sires Stakes at Hoosier Park on Friday (July 3).

Notching her second win from two starts, the filly made her winning move down the back straight and was untroubled to score in a career-best 1:53.

Driver Trace Tetrick said: “She’s had great manners and she’s got a great way of going. She’s very versatile and just an all-round nice filly.”

Out of a mare by The Panderosa, Ginger Shark has now earned $47,500.

Shadyshark Hanover also provided the quinella pair, B R Shadyshark (1:55) and Shady Caroline, in the $25,000 Consolation event, while the ‘Shady’ two-year-old colt Western Warrior finished runner-up in another $25,000 Consolation.

Shadyshark Hanover is ranked fifth on the 2YO Sires’ list with progeny earnings of $116,081. He has 12 on the 2:00 list and seven inside 1:57.
