One of the most respected ladies in our sport is over the moon about heading up the team running the trotting version of the APG (APTS) sale happening this Sunday at Oakland’s Junction.

Louise Toulmin and her very accomplished, friendly line-up are representing 69 of the strongest lots ever amassed in this country.

The largest consignment of numbers is clearly the Aldebaran draft with 18 Lots catalogued.

When we spoke to Danny Thackeray you could hear the excitement in his voice about the strength of his draft heading to Oakland’s Junction this weekend.

Danny went on to say While its true we have some high quality yearlings that could top the sale, please remember we will also have some sensational types that will be affordable to nearly all buyers looking for that potential star”.

Danny found it really difficult to narrow down a selection of just 5 yearlings we should take particular attention of.

He did suggest we follow the lots below as these five yearlings are prime examples of the Aldebaran draft.

Lot 18
Lot 31
Lot 35
Lot 39
Lot 68

Another great trotting man on an upward rapid rise is Michael Taylor. He has engaged the services of Goodtime Racing to prepare his draft. Michael told us, I’m thrilled with the way the yearlings have come along under the care of Mark & Courtney. I realised a few years ago if we wanted to have yearlings that would be in the top end of the sale. We needed an elite preparer and we needed our mares go the very best sires available. I’m firmly of the view we have now achieved this”.

Lot 46
Lot 59
Lot 71

Another very gifted lady in our sport is Hayley (Lang) Toulmin (Louise and Gary’s daughter) who also has some wonderful lots that will command genuine interest.  Hayley is a delightful lady that is extremely knowledgeable and is prepared to spend quality time with prospective buyers.

What’s abundantly clear is that APG, along with its partners, have taken this sales event to the next level. With a much larger data base of buyers, big investment in a race series, additional resources invested in the marketing and providing an online guide for the these yearlings, one can only think this is an event not to be missed.
