One of the greatest pleasures we had last year launching APG TV was the opportunity to spend quality time with some really outstanding stars of the breeding and racing industry. In particular, the ladies who drive this sport for the better.
I still have fond memories thinking back 12 months on of the interview we did with Jane Hearn, manager of Grenada Park. The link below has that interview and I can’t remember anyone looking so happy, and having so much fun. The 8 minutes she shared with the harness racing world was simply delightful.
We were also lucky to have Casie Coleman (and her man Mark Herlihy ) the trainer of stars like American Ideal, Betterthancheddar, Sportswriter and Betting Line. They gave us a great insight into the attributes they value and love to see in yearlings. They were so kind, friendly and giving, considering their status in the sport. We definitely hope it’s not the last time we see both Casie & Mark in AUS/NZ. Their video clip was the first to be watched by more than 1000 people from the APG TV website and we will always be extremely grateful to both of them.
Jackie Gibson from Success Stud was able to take time out from caring for her large consignment of yearlings in the Sydney sale to share with us a great story about her dad, John, (who they lost in 2016). For those who haven’t seen this interview I think the link below is a must.
The two Annie Dalton clips below are also well worth watching. Annie just looked so natural in front of the camera as she spoke from the heart about some of the great horses she has had over the years. It was like she knew each yearling so well and how they would all sell the next day. Annie Dalton, is passionate like all the ladies above and totally fits the headline “outstanding ladies of our sport”.
