After spending last weekend in Adelaide as special guest speaker to at SA BOTRA Xmas In July Michael “Mouse” Brennan returned home to WA and took out the WA BOTRA cup at Gloucester Park on Friday night with kiwi import Naughty Maravu.
The five-year-old boosted his prospects of securing a start in the Perth Inter Dominion Championship later in the year.
“We’ve got a high opinion of him,” Brennan said. “He’ll be an Inters entrant. He added.

Brennan said Naughty Maravu’s record should have been better this year. The New Zealand import, unlucky in a number of recent races, was caught three-wide before finishing unplaced last week.
Naughty Maravu ($5.90) led from the 2000m for reinsman Gary Hall Jr last night and scored from Our Sky Major ($18.70) and Im Master Charlie ($4.30).
It was Gary Hall Junior’s fourth winner of the night.
