Well the team at Yirribee certainly do! They were so impressed and excited when the first Warrawee Needy foals starting hitting the ground, they have brought the majority share in the stallion and this has them exceedingly excited looking forward.
(Below taken from standardbredcanada.ca)
A winner of 29 races and more than $1.25 million, Warrawee Needy did it all. He was freakishly fast at two (1:49.4s), faster still at three (1:48.4s) and fastest in the world at four (1:46.4).
At two, he was the 2011 O’Brien Award winner for two-year-old pacing colts/geldings. He won the Battle of Waterloo elimination at Grand River, an Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Gold elimination at Flamboro Downs, and the elimination and final at Mohawk Racetrack, the elimination and final at Rideau Carleton Raceway, the final at Woodbine Racetrack, and the OSS Gold Super Final at Woodbine Racetrack.
At three, he won a OSS Gold final at Mohawk. He was second in a North America Cup elimination at Mohawk, a OSS Gold elimination and final at Mohawk and the OSS Super Final at Woodbine Racetrack. He was third in his Confederation Cup elimination and a OSS Gold final at Flamboro Downs.
At four, he won an Aquarius Series leg, his US Pacing Championship elimination and his William Haughton Memorial elimination at the Meadowlands Racetrack in world record time.
He was also second in the Aquarius Series leg and final at the Meadowlands, his Meadowlands Maturity Division at the Meadowlands, and a TVG Championship leg at the Meadowlands Racetrack. He was third in the American National Series final at Balmoral Park, while as an aged horse he captured a leg of the George Morton Levy Series at Yonkers.
An outcross sire with speed throughout his career, Warrawee Needy (E Dees Cam – Great Memories – Apaches Fame)
While I’m told buyers should make the effort to view the entire Yirribee draft, the Wagga based team believe Lot 457 (a colt out of The Very Chic U30), is certainly going to get some serious attention.
See you all on March 3.
