1The win of 2yo Allamerican Ingot filly Liberte at Gloucester Park this evening provided compelling evidence of the benefits in racing a Double Westbred youngster.

Luke Tabbakah paid just $3500 for Liberte at the 2015 Gloucester Standardbreds WA Yearling Sale and tonight’s win earned Luke and his fellow owners some $11,650 for their first win.

The windfall was made up of first place stakemoney of $4,550 to which a Double Westbred Bonus of $5100 and $2000 Westbred 1st Win Owners Bonus were added.

Breeder/vendor Royalstar Pty Ltd received a Double Westbred Breeders Bonus payment of $637 plus a $2000 Breeders 1st Win Bonus.

Royalstar obtained a further bonus from the win – the value of which will be determined on Sunday 21st February at the 2016 Gloucester Standardbreds WA Yearling Sale.

Royalstar will offer a full-brother to Liberte as Lot 89 on Sunday.

It is the mare Detainee’s first colt foal.

Detainee is a half-sister to the dam of Golden Nugget Championship winner Schinzig Buller 1:56.1 $293,497 and Polak 1:52.0 $321,600.
