Newly-Crowned Inter Dominion champion Lennytheshark is back in serious work.

As a precaution, trainer David Aiken had the six-year-old’s legs scanned after his hectic schedule in Perth for the Inter Dominion.

“The scans came up perfectly. He’s great,” Aiken said.

“With his history of problems, you like to get scans done just to make sure everything is good.

“We gave him a quiet time after Perth, but he’s back working strongly again as we get ready for the Victoria Cup and Miracle Mile.”

All that remains is for Aiken to choose his path to the $400,000 Victoria Cup at Melton on January 30.

“We’re not sure to be honest. He’ll only have one run, but it’s not likely to be the Ballarat Cup (January 23),” he said.

“It’s a bit tricky with the big races all so close together.”

Lennytheshark isn’t qualified for standing-start racing so wasn’t even entered for the $500,000 Hunter Cup on February 6.

Instead, he will go from the Victoria Cup to either Cordina or Coca-Cola Sprint – the two compulsory Miracle Mile lead-up races – which are both run at Menangle on February 13.

Then it’s onto the $750,000 Miracle Mile at Menangle on February 28.
