The Ashlee Grives trained four year old mare couldn’t have been more impressive first up from a spell when she finished second behind Arms Of An Angel in the Hondo Grattan Stakes. Ameretto had trialled well in the lead up to her resumption and has been given two weeks to recover. This will be her last hit-out before next weekend’s Chariots Of Fire.
Saturday night Albury Race 3 Number 2 Lettuce Reign –
Trained by Paul Kahlefeldt this filly will appreciate the drop back in class. Never got into the race last time out when drawn the second row at Wagga and prior to that competed in a feature race at Tabcorp Park Menangle where she was beaten 40 metres by Our Dream About Me. Does possess good speed and should give them something to chase.
Sunday afternoon Bathurst Race 3 Number 4 Miss Rodriguez
Was well supported last time out but got things wrong early and put herself out of contention. Has shown ability during her career but can misbehave on occasions. Was unlucky to finish third two starts ago and if she does everything right this time then she should return to the winners’ list.
