8The Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to a strong ten race program this weekend, the second week of the new-look summer carnival.

Features include the Gr.3 $30,000 Be Good Johnny Sprint plus the inaugural running of the $20,000 Forever Gold Mares FFA.

And the opening race has attracted an even field of 12 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the UBET for the Thrill of It Pace over the 2138m.

Gambling giant UBET is offering a guaranteed $75,000 First 4 on the opening race, an event that should provide plenty of value.

The ideally drawn Jester Oh Jester will command plenty of respect from the inside gate, the Jack Butler trained pacer has been a runner-up at two of his last three starts.

A number of other runners boast very strong recent form and that should provide plenty of value for First 4 punters.

The leading Sydney stables of Kerryann Turner and Robbie Morris have headed north this week and have the richly talented Iam Mr Brightside starting in the main event, the Be Good Johnny Sprint.

His recent efforts at Menangle in fast times have been excellent and will prove very hard to beat in the sprint feature.

Alleluia, a winner of last week’s Lord Mayors Cup faces a tough task after being slammed with gate 12 in the 1660m contest.

In the Forever Gold, Bettorthanspecial is looking to bounce back following her defeat last week behind Smooth Showgirl.

The multiple feature race winner has drawn perfectly in gate three while many of her rivals have drawn the second-line.

A guaranteed Quadrella pool of $20,000 is also programmed; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

Again, the quaddie legs look open with several even races assembled meaning punters will get great value.

UBET also have a $10,000 guaranteed trifecta pool slated for race three while the Be Good Johnny Sprint (Race 5) carries a $5000 jackpot First 4 pool.
