Breeders in the west are buzzing with excitement as the first foals by multi Group 1 winning sire Follow The Stars have hit the ground pacing.
Long-time stud manager and well respected horseman Mick Holtham who has managed big studs both here in AUS and NZ has never seen foals this perfect in his time in the sport, “we just couldn’t believe our eyes, they just have hit the ground pacing as clones of their X-Factor dad, it’s just so exciting for our loyal clients who have put faith into this star young sire, they will be the big winners now.
Mark Purdon said this horse had the real X-Factor about him and he was such a super-fast 2 & 3YO, we have great faith in this stallion and now he is stamping his authority on his prodigy like this, WOW, this going to be special a very season for our clients.
Let’s not forget, Follow The Stars was almost unbeatable as a 2Yo he won 10 from his 11 starts which included 3 x Group 1’s and 2 x Group 3 races, the only race he didn’t win he got smashed with interference 500 metres from home, yet he powered home to finish a mighty brave 7th.
Follow The Stars is leaving foals just like him, neat, tidy and so correct, this is not surprising as his own confirmation is almost perfect, due to his late start to stud duties last year he was only able to serve 84 mares (of a very high standard) however one great asset for the breeders is his fertility, 90% positive to mares served, which means he will have north of 70 live foals this year, this number (90%) is rarely seen in our industry and one factor that should not be lost.
Follow The Stars has great U24 blood running through his veins with family members like Dontgetinmyway $1,413,550 and many more elite performers however, his performances on our tracks both her in AUS and NZ are confirmation he is the stallion to help take our breeding in the right direction.
Follow the Stars stands at Allwood Stud Farm at a fee of $2,500 with multiple mare discounts. Sub 2:00 winning mares or classic winner-producing mares fee is reduced to $1650.
