Call for prospective buyers to come for forward at Sundays HarnessBred.com SA Yearling and mixed sale.

South Australia for many years was the breeding nursery of Australia when it came to yearlings, many top breeders from both sides of the boarder nominated their babies for the powerful sale.

With Coles Brothers as auctioneers the bidding was strong and fearful.

Then came the down turn and after the 2011 sale conducted by Graham Board & Co in conjunction with Harness Racing South Australia. The sale went into recession until SA BOTRA the go getters of South Australian Harness Racing decided in 2015 to pick the sale up again.

It was successful, not so much by number but by interest in the sale some 250 packed Globe Derby’s sales ring. The knockers “it can’t be done” and “who will come buy my horse” were put to bed, now in 2016 the numbers are still small 18 yearlings but the quality is far superior to last year.

Alabar “Australia’s largest breeding nursery “have been supportive of what BOTRA are endeavouring to achieve, they once again have supplied a yearling for the sale a filly by Grinfromeartoear.
