Bunbury situated 180 kilometres from Perth CBD played host to the second round of Inters heats on Tuesday night with the Victorians Lennytheshark and Philadelphia Man stamping their authority on the series.
Lennytheshark who is the favourite to take out series, took care of business in heat 5 beating leader Easy On The Eye and Lovers Delight in a sizzling mile rate of 1.52.8.
The other Victorian visitor Philadelphia Man was also strong at the end of his heat in a mile rate of 1.54.2 beating Blazin N Cullen, which did plenty of work early and fought on well to go down by just over a metre, with Flaming Flutter getting home well to finish third.
Reigning WA Pacing Cup winner My Hard Copy ( by Woodlands Studs American Ideal out of the Presidential Ball mare Readallaboutit) won the opening heat of the night, after a soft run when the leaders went crazy out of the gate. My Hard Copy came with late run to beat South Australian owned Major Crocker, who did all the work early three wide then outside the leader, by 2.4 metres with Franco Ledger third in the fastest heat of the night 1.51.6.
Action returns to headquarters on Friday night with final set of heats over the staying trip of 2536 metres, these heats are preferential draw based on points scores thus far in the series with lowest points drawn inside and highest drawn outside.
