The 2015 Bunbury Cup was robbed by the late scratching of Bettors Fire who had claimed the previous two running’s of the premier country cup.
Trainer Kyle Harper told Harnessbred.com “the horse is fine it was 40 degrees here yesterday and it’s a long trip to Bunbury I just did not want to take the risk with him”.
Harper went on to say “I just want to make sure his is at his peak in a fortnight’s time”
The cup was taken out by 4 year old super star Beaudiene Boaz trained by Gary Hall and driven by his son Clint, drawn the pole Beaudiene Boaz had little trouble in leading and won by 1.8 metres from Jason Rulz who flashed home on the sprint lane and South west pacer Smokey The Bandit a further 1.8 metres away in third place.
