The final of the five-race Alderbaren Park Pony Monte series has been run and won, with Brock Gibson and Barney (pictured) taking the final race and the series.
Ten ponies competed in the hotlycontested series of five races, three of which were held at Wedderburn and the others at Ballarat and Stawell.
For his efforts, Brock walked away with the series trophy, which was sponsored by Alderbaren Park.
This was the first time Victoria has held pony monte races, which proved verypopular with the public and has clubs asking if they can host future meetings.
On Saturday, Tamsyn Potter and Alvin teamed to win the Victoria Cup Pony Trot, and then on Sunday the Central Victorian Chamionship Pony Trot was won by Luke Dunne and Rockinonhome.
The pony trot girls will wear teal pants in February to support the Ovarian Cancer awareness campaign.
