5Saturday’s APG Sydney Sale shapes up to be a cracker, with many claiming that it is the strongest Sydney catalogue in APG’s 27 year history.

David Boydell, APG’s General Manager, confirmed that he couldn’t be more excited about Saturday’s Sale.

“The quality that will be available on Saturday really is spectacular,” he explained.  “Nearly 20% of the dams in the sale have won $100,000 or more on the racetrack, including five former APG champion fillies in the form of Espeshlimade Lombo, Keppel Bay, Kept For Pleasure, Louvre and Rosa Mach.”

“Importantly, not only are so many of the dams former great race mares, but they’ve also proven themselves in the breeding shed, having already produced 69 x $100,000+ earning foals, including millionaire APG Sales Graduates For  A Reason and Caribbean Blaster.”

“The great news for buyers is that the depth of the sale ensures that while bidding will no doubt be fierce for the standout types, there will be plenty of quality left for the middle market buyers to pick up.”

Best Viewing Times

Horses have already started arriving at William Inglis’s Newmarket Sales Complex in Young St, Randwick, with Brooklyn Lodge’s draft arriving around 6am this morning (Thursday).

For owners and trainers interested in doing some pre-sale inspections, the best viewing times will be Friday afternoon (12 noon through to 5pm) or Saturday morning from 8am onwards.

APG will be putting on a free breakfast from 8am to 10am on sales day (Saturday) so potential buyers are encouraged to come early, get their bidder registration sorted out in the sales day office, before grabbing a bite to eat and starting their inspections.

Plenty of Options for people unable to attend the Sales

For people interested in bidding on a Lot in Sydney, but who are unable to attend the sale, APG has a number of options, including online bidding, telephone bidding or bidding via an on-site agent.

For further information about any of these options, click here or contact APG on 03 5275 1999.

For those people that aren’t interested in bidding, but who just want to keep up-to-date with the sale, APG TV will be filming pre and post-sale interviews with a number of the leading vendors, preparers, owners and trainers, discussing their thoughts on their yearling draft and their purchases.  Pre-sale APG TV interviews with vendors and preparers will be available for viewing on Friday night, while sales day interviews will be uploaded throughout the day on Saturday.

APG will also be webcasting the sale.  Links to APG TV and to the webcast are both accessible via the APG website.
