5The promising 3yr-old trotting filly She’s Allthe Craze should have the measure of her older rivals in race 8, the Just Essence Catering Handicap at Forbury Park on Wednesday night. She’s Allthe Craze has been freshened by trainer Nathan Williamson since she won at Roxburgh on January 4. She had finished second to De Vito at Gore eight days earlier in her other start.

Armori, a rival for She’s Allthe Craze, qualified as a pacer at Forbury Park on Saturday. The 7yr-old mare has done most of her racing at Forbury Park and her three wins as a trotter have been there.

Williamson has other good prospects on Wednesday night in McKenzie Mara (r 5) and Bootie Bromac (r 7). McKenzie, another 3yr-old filly, won over a mile in 1.57.3 at Wyndham nine days ago. Bootie Bromac is seasoned for a sharp 1700m from the mobile gate.

She has won on the grass at Cromwell and Oamaru and been minor placed in seven of her 14 starts this season.

The speedy mares Tintinara and Motu Moonbeam are formidable rivals. Tintinara hinted at a return to winning form when third in 1.54.5 at Ashburton this month. She won by eight lengths at Forbury Park in November. She has the ability to overcome a second line draw. Motu Moonbeam won the Robin Dundee Crown over 1700m in a 1.55.8 mile rate at Ascot Park on January 30 after placing over a mile in 1.53.5 in a lead up race.

Heard The Whisper, who was pulled up at his last start after leaving stride early, could bounce back in race 4. He won his previous start at Forbury Park.

Eltsunami, one of his rivals, has benefitted from a spell and a new footwear according to trainer, Darryn Simpson.

Eltsunami has not raced since he won at Forbury Park on November 6 after leaving stride early and conceding a lot of ground.

“I was just not happy with the way he was trotting. I gave him a break and changed his shoeing and he is a lot better,’’ said Simpson. Eltsunami finished second to Mr Majestic in a trial at Forbury Park on Saturday.

Simpson is pleased with American Spirit, who has won three of his four starts.

“ I backed off him for four or five days after he won at Waikouaiti. He worked at the beach this morning and was jumping out of his skin.”

Simpson is considering taking American Spirit to Addington at the end of the month.

Its Oscar, co-owned by Simpson, his partner Kylie Smail and Denis O’Connell, is due home to Mosgiel this week for a short spell.

Its Oscar has won five races, four at Alexandra Park and the other at Cambridge and $34,600 in stakes this season when campaigned from the Papakura stable of Tony Herlihy.
