Trainer Belinda McCarthy will lead the charge for New South Wales in heats of the Victoria Derby at Melton this Saturday.
McCarthy will be aiming to qualify two pacers for the $200,000 final the following week with Cantfindabettorman and Mr Ibiza.
Both horses will be driven by McCarthy’s husband Luke who is impressed at where they are at heading into the feature.
Cantfindabettorman won last start at Menangle in career best 1:52.1 while Mr Ibiza won a trial at that venue last week in 1:50.4.
Horseman Bernie Hewitt will also represent NSW in the heats with the return of Ripp.
The gelding has not raced since his Queensland campaign in July but has won a trial at Bathurst last week.
