Leap To Fame is safe and sound in Victoria and ready for his shot at a third Derby success.
Queensland trainer Grant Dixon met his superstar colt at Melbourne Airport in the early hours of this morning and now has him based at Clinton Welsh’s property in Toolern Vale.
His arrival here in Victoria is a relief for connections, with flight issues pushing back his trip down south to just a couple of days out from the Downbytheseaside Victoria Derby heats.
“I think we put him on the horse float abut 4.30am,” Dixon said.
“He seems really bright and seems good.”
