INSPIRATIONAL reinswoman Dani Hill is certainly doing her share as part of the Women’s Cancer Foundation’s Team Teal campaign.
After just three meetings since the campaign began, Hill has registered five wins – a treble at Globe Derby last Saturday night and a double at the same venue today.
On top of that, Hill has organised a sponsor – clerk of the course and thoroughbred trainer Gordon Carter.
Hill has been granted permission to wear Carter’s racing colours, with the horseman to make a donation for each win the record-breaking driver records.
Harness Racing SA has donated $100 for each Hill success, which the governing body will add to following every win by a local reinswoman during the next six weeks.
As a sensational gesture, Ubet will double the figure, with South Australia predicted to raise around $6000.
“I’m so pleased to have had a good couple of days and land some winners for the cause,” Hill said. “It’s a wonderful charity to be supporting and I, like all the reinswomen, will be doing my best.
“For Gordon to add to the donation for every win I get while wearing his colours is also an amazing act of kindness.”
Following the previous success of the campaign, this year’s ‘drive’ has gone national, with Harvey piloting the initial winner in her state.
Reinswomen throughout Australia will don teal pants in every race they compete leading up to March 11
After just four meetings, South Australia’s leading ladies have raised almost $2000!
