Standardbred Canada will be hosting the 2017 World Drivers Championship at five different tracks spread over four different provinces between 12 – 18 August 2017.
Dates and venues are :
12 August : Century Downs racetrack and casino (5½f), Calgary, Alberta
14 August : Mohawk racetrack (7/8m), Campbellville, Toronto, Ontario
15 August : Georgian Downs (5/8m), Innisfil, Ontario
16 August : Hippodrome 3R (5/8m), Montreal, Quebec
18 August : Prince Edward Island and Red Shores racetrack and casino, Charlottetown Driving Park (½m), Prince Edward Island (held during Old Home Week).
Note – the famous Gold Cup and Saucer** will be held the following evening Saturday 19 August.
The World Trotting Conference is being held at the Delta Charlottetown from Monday 14 August until Saturday afternoon 19 August 2017. The conference coincides with the 250th anniversary of horse racing in Canada and Canada 150 celebrations since confederation which began in Charlottetown. It also marks the 25th edition of the World Trotting Conference (commenced 1970).
