Harness racing driver Brad Elder is looking to close in on a top season at Newcastle tonight.
With only two meetings left in the Hunter region for the year, Elder has steered many winners at Newcastle, giving him a career best season so far.
Elder has 89 wins to his credit this term and can add to that with four drives at Newcastle tonight.
Elder will drive Arma Veyron for trainer Darren Elder in race one, The Thug in race three, CC Jones in race four and Its Allabout Alice in race five.
Another driver that has obtained 89 winners this season is Tom Ison.
The 23-year-old reinsman will drive in six of the nine races including the in-form Adam Ruggari pacers Mannho and Our Road To Mecca.
Both Elder and Ison recently competed in the Young Drivers Invitation feature at Menangle on Inter Dominion Finals night finishing second and fourth respectively.
