Junee trainer Trevor White will have three runners at Sunday’s Pepper Tree Farm NSW Breeders Challenge Regional Final meeting at Bathurst.  Two of White’s three runners are out of producing broodmare Sister Pattie and two year old gelding With Authority will be out to record his fourth victory at his sixth start.

“I had to miss the main Breeders Challenge series with him because he got a cold and I didn’t want to push him when he wasn’t right but he is over that now,” White said.

“I’m surprised he has made it as a two year old because he is such a big horse, he’s always shown a bit of ability but Sister Pattie has been a great producer and everything out of her has been able to run.”

Sister Pattie has had six foals to the races and all of them have won races with her progeny having won 78 races between them.

“Sister Pattie was well bred, but I gave her four starts as a two year old and she did nothing so I thought I would try a foal from her, I had Big Achiever at the time so I put him over her and she produced Col’s Memory and after that she produced Jackson Grant.

“It didn’t matter what stallion she was sent to her foals could run and with my nephew Matthew (Harris) having Quick Approval at stud I thought I would give him a go, he was a great horse and did a really good job around here.”

Shes a Jackson is also out of Sister Pattie but White admits she is looking for a break.

“She has done a really good job this season, she has won five and probably needs a bit of a blow but I’m thinking about breeding with her so she might not have too many more starts anyway.

“I’m thinking of breeding with Official Jasper as well, she will compete in the three year old fillies Breeders Challenge Regional final, she is a tough little mare but has drawn poorly so will need to be at her best.”

Six Breeders Challenge Regional Finals will be run this Sunday on an eight race card with the first event timed to go at 12:39pm.
