1The biggest successful bets of the week were $5,000 wagers with one punter placing a place bet on the Darryll Kell trained Hell Bent at Goulburn on Monday afternoon at $1.17.  Hell Bent was able to find the front and never looked like a missing a place from soon after the start and the punter walked away with a profit of $850.

One punter landed a healthy return when they placed a $500 bet at $8.00 on Wabi Sabi to win race one at Bathurst on Wednesday May 11.  Despite over racing, the Bernie Hewitt trained four year old proved too strong and the punter turned their $500 into $4,000.

Not everyone was successful, one punter placed $3,500 at $2.00 on the Paul Fitzpatrick trained Pay Me Sam to win at Menangle on Tuesday.  The son of Pay Me Christian looked the winner at Newcastle recently before he broke gear in the home straight and while he had no gear issues on Tuesday he wasn’t good enough to win and finished third.

There was no luck on ‘Black Friday’ for the punter who had $2,000 on Terry Barry at Wagga at $3.50.  Despite showing recent good form Terry Barry was overhauled in the straight and finished second by a half-neck to the Shane Hallcroft trained Keys Tothe Village.
