On the eve of the 2015 Inter Dominion Championship at Gloucester Park dual-Inter Dominion Grand Final winning reinsman Chris Lewis brought up his 4800th winner behind the Colin Joss trained Courage Tells at last night’s York meeting.

Lewis won the 1976 Inter Dominion in Adelaide as a 20yo behind Carclew and then a decade later won the 1986 Brisbane Inter Dominion behind Village Kid.

His Inter Dominion final wins are just two of 48 wins in Group One races.

Lewis will be out to add further to his Inter Dominion record of 13 wins in heats of the Championship when he drives the Stephen Reed trained Lovers Delight from barrier one in the third heat at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Lewis will also drive the badly drawn Dynamite Dude in Friday night’s opening heat.
