APG’s latest edition of Winners Circle is now available and includes:
- A recap of APG’s success at the Breeders Crown Finals;
- An update on APG’s entries for the upcoming 2018 Ladbrokes APG Yearling Sales; and
- Our feature story, following one of Victoria’s leading horse educators, Paul Weidenbach, as he takes us step-by-step through the breaking in process
The highlight of the episode is undoubtedly the Breaking In story, where we followed Paul Weidenbach over a six week period, and watched as he took a raw yearling from the paddock, and stepped it through each stage of the breaking in process.
Amongst other things, we were on hand to capture the yearling’s first time being geared up, its first day of long reining, its first day in the cart and its first day in hopples.
Paul’s skill and patience with the young colt was on display at all times, and the results of his patient approach were obvious, with the colt displaying a high degree of trust, and taking each new lesson in its stride.
