Cranbrook is a small town located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The area around Cranbrook has a long history of human habitation, with evidence of Aboriginal occupation dating back at least 6,000 years.

The town itself was founded in the late 19th century, and was named after the Earl of Cranbrook, who was then the Secretary of State for the Colonies. The town quickly grew as a hub for agriculture, with wheat, wool, and timber being the main industries.

One of the notable historic sites in Cranbrook is the St. John’s Anglican Church, which was built in 1906 and is now listed on the Western Australian Heritage Register. The town also has a number of other historic buildings, including the Cranbrook Hotel, which was built in 1899 and is still in operation today.

The Cranbrook Hotel  is a gathering spot for harness racing fans to watch the races and enjoy some the best hospitality in the west.
