My Hard Copy won back to back WA Pacing Cups on Friday night at Gloucester Park and in doing so booked a trip to Melbourne for the Victorian Summer Carnival that will include both the Victorian Cup and the Hunter Cup.

The 6 year old son of  American Ideal gave trainer Gary Hall senior his tenth WA Pacing Cup and his sixth in concession. His son Clinton who drove My Hard Copy it was his third successive having won last year on board this horse and Hokonui Ben in 2014.

My Hard Copy ($4.90) rated 1:57 to win by 1m from $2.60 favourite Devendra, after the Sydney raider fought back bravely in his attempt at an all-the-way victory.

The Hall brothers however copped the wrath of stewards after the race with Clinton being find $1000 for whip breach and his  brother Gary suspended for three weeks for causing interference on Beaudiene Boaz,

Stablemate Cyamach earned some consolation for having missed a WA Pacing Cup start when he lead all the way to win the  $23,000 Download The Tabtouch App Today Pace (2536m).
