Victorian filly Flojos Gold took out the UBET South Australian Oaks at Globe Derby on easter Saturday.
The Mach Three filly had a soft run three back on the marker line before driver Luke Watson pushed out at the 600 metre mark and the reining Vicbred Super Sires champion round up the leaders to win from local filly Queen Of Sharkz trained by Tyson Linke with the Emma Stewart Celebrity Guest finishing third.
The last half-mile of the group 2 Oaks was covered in 57.6, but Flojos Gold made up several lengths, her winning mile rate 1:59.9.
Flojos Gold has now won 6 times from just 9 starts.
Flojos Gold (Mach Three- Jasper Jo) is likely to be chasing back to back Vicbred Super Series success in coming months.

For team Finnis it was a good day winning the two feature races then making it a treble when first starter Oceans Predator (Four Stazzz Shark- Floral Edge ) led al the way in the final event. All three winners are owned by Peter & Lesley Medhurst, trained by their son in law Barry Finnis and driven by their grand son Jayson.
