Well known South Australian breeder-owner David Battye and his wife Glenda had a weekend to remember when they landed three winners in two states in the space of 24 hours.
Smart four-year-old Tuppence (pictured) started the ball rolling when he finished powerfully from midfield to prevail in a three-way photo at Menangle in a career-best 1:51.2.
Then, 10 minutes later, Tuppence’s younger half-brother Cobber took full advantage of the passing lane to defeat older rivals at Melton.
