Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) was saddened to hear of the passing of committeeman Darren McPhail.
Mr McPhail was on the Bendigo Harness Racing Club’s committee for the past 13 years, holding down the vice-presidency for much of that term.
Mr McPhail served on the club’s marketing sub-committee and was a long-time employee at Warehouse Sales, a trots sponsor.
A wake for Mr McPhail, who was aged 54, was held upstairs in the Raceview Function Centre at Lord’s Raceway.
A fitting tribute recalled a wonderful man who would be sadly missed by everyone connected to the club and industry.
