Renowned Bathurst trainer Steve Turnbull nearing closer to a significant milestone.
The premiership-winning horseman is edging closer 4000 wins in his career and will most likely reach that mark next year.
He will be hoping to add to his 3950 winners with three starters nominated at the last meeting of the season at Parkes tonight.
Turnbull has a two-pronged attack in the feature event at the Carnival of Cups meeting, the Parkes Gold Cup.
His starters are Smooth Baht and Firestorm Red who have drawn the outside barriers on the second row.
Turnbull will drive last-start winner Smooth Baht and Turnbull’s son will drive Firestorm Red.
Turnbull’s daughter Amanda also has two horses in the feature with Fasika and Sweet Heaven while his son Josh has Bettor Jiggle who will be driven by Nathan Turnbull, Turnbull’s oldest son.
The iForm team’s best bets:
Parkes best bet
Race 4: Clowns Tothe Left (3)
Plenty of opportunities lately but first up for an astute trainer might prove hard to toss.
Parkes next best
Race 3: Treacherous One (9)
Capable of testing favourite players after an unlucky Dubbo performance.
Around the tracks
Albury best bet
Race 1: Esther Rising (6)
Can be aggressive from the wide draw and may have too much class for these.
