The lawns will be full and the good times will rage on and off the track when a mass of families and revellers return to Tabcorp Park Melton to bring in the New Year.
The welcome mat will roll out at 5pm for Melton’s biggest New Year’s Eve party, which will offer free entry, racing, children’s and live entertainment, and a fireworks display not-to-be-missed.
Tabcorp Park CEO Shane Gloury said the showcase night “has got something for everyone”.
“It is a great race meeting, with metropolitan class racing on this night for the first time, and it’s also got a great fireworks display at midnight, plenty of kids’ activities and the DJ on the lawn,” Mr Gloury said.
“For those who want to kick on there will be a band in the sports bar performing late into the night.”
The night has become a must-see event on many a party-goers calendar.
“It has been held for the last two years and has a Hunter Cup like crowd in attendance. It is probably the best attended meeting at Melton,” Mr Gloury said.
“It’s the biggest New Year’s Eve event in the western parts of Melbourne and certainly in the city of Melton. It’s growing each and every year and I am sure we will see a really big crowd in attendance.”
And that crowd will cater for those of all ages and tastes.
“It’s got a significant family-friendly flavour, but all bars are also open for people who want to let their hair down and celebrate the New Year.”
