RECIPIENTS of this year’s New South Wales Junior Driver Encouragement Awards will earn a trip to New Zealand and gain the experience of working alongside leading trainers.
Harness Racing NSW chief executive John Dumesny said: “Whilst this might be considered as work, the Award winners from this select group of our best younger participants will be the recipients of the most valuable experience working with the elite of Kiwi trainers.”
The nominees for the respective categories are as follows:
- Country Junior Driver Encouragement Award: Brad Elder, Jason Grimson, James Harding, Peter McRae and Tom Pay;
- Metropolitan Junior Driver Encouragement Award: Stephanie Lippiatt, Martell Maguire, Ellen Rixon, Joe Taaffe and Nathan Xuereb.
The winners of these prestigious Awards will be announced at the Arthur J. Gallagher HRNSW Awards Night at Sheraton on the Park on October 29.
All nominees were selected from nominations received from clubs and HRNSW management and stewards.
