10 October 2017 | Kilmore Racing Club

SPORTING superstars will light up the Kilmore Racing Club this Friday night.

The club’s second annual sportsman’s night, run in conjunction with the Kilmore Football Netball Club, will feature a trio of sporting favourites.

Richmond cult hero Matthew Richardson will be the headline attraction, sporting a fresh hangover having recently handed the AFL Premiership Cup to his beloved Tigers.

Channel 7 commentator and former Richmond and Collingwood goal-machine Brian Taylor will also be on the bill; no word as to whether he’ll be roaming the crowd or not.

Rounding out the trio is cricketing cult hero Merv Hughes, the man of the legendary moustache and memorable stretching routines.

Hughes was well-known for his quick wit on the field, so Kilmore punters can expect plenty of the same in a more relaxed setting.

This hat-trick of sporting favourites will entertain the crowd with the sort of tall tales and sporting stories you don’t hear on the radio and won’t see on TV.

The second annual Kilmore Sportsman’s Night function will run in conjunction with Friday night’s harness meeting, so there’ll be plenty of entertainment on hand.

Tickets are available for $110 per person which includes dinner, a four-hour drinks package, a memorabilia auction and a DJ spinning tunes after the races.

Mitch Sidebottom and Leigh Graham will be hosting a punters club on the night, which will be open to anyone on course to enter, not just those attending the sportsman’s night.

To book, call 5783 0700 or head to www.kilmoreracingclub.com.au
