Golden Illawong breeding lines may produce another star with Illawong Benita earning a place in Craig Rail’s Trial File Blackbook with an eye-catching trial at Tabcorp Park Melton.
Racing for owner-breeder Kaye Hartnett and trainer-driver Jodi Quinlan, the full-sister to Illawong Byron ($174,610) “produced a stunning performance at the end to score by 75 metres”.
The two-year-old filly was one of three additions to Rail’s Blackbook this week, with Maurlen and Coral Stride also shortlisted, the latter stepping out at Terang on Tuesday.
