Northam based trainer Lang Inwood is poised to train his 400th winner at Northam on Thursday night.

Inwood, who trained his first winner Follow The Load at Albany in February 1998, has four runners engaged at his home track.

Last start winner On My Oath (Chris Voak) and Justlikelindt (Bailey McDonough) are engaged in Race 3 while Jay Jays Jet is in Race 5 and Tuatini has drawn the prized barrier one in the last.

Tuatini will be driven by the in-form Shannon Suvaljko (seven winners in May including the WA Oaks with Maczaffair) while Jay Jays Jet will have the services of Nathan Turvey.

Nathan Turvey will be chasing his own milestone at Gloucester Park on Friday night as he currently has a career tally of 299 winners after three winners last Friday.

Hidden Bad brought up Turvey’s 93rd Gloucester Park winner on Friday while stable foreman Jocelyn Young drove Ohoka Darcy and Chal Storm to victory at Wagin the same night. Turvey has now trained 51 winners this season to sit in seventh place on the State Trainer Premiership.

Turvey trained his first winner with Jacks A Force at Bunbury on 11th June 2005 and he has three runners engaged at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Livura is in career best form going into Race 3 – the Princi Butchers Pace however Turvey will need to be at his brilliant best to overcome barrier nine with the 5yo Live Or Die gelding.

Turvey has both Hidden Bad (barrier five) and Chevrons Champion (barrier one) engaged in Race 6 – the Westral Pace and while the pair have handy draws the presence of horses of the calibre of Soho Wall Street, Harry Hoo and Vultan Tin make their task hard.

Turvey will drive Chevrons Champion while Jocelyn Young’s novice driver claim will help the cause of Hidden Bad.

When The Trilogy finished third in the last race at Pinjarra on Monday the $560 stake took the Greg and Skye Bond stable past the $2 million mark in earnings this season.

They left Pinjarra with a season’s tally of 683 starters, 167 winners and stakes or $2,000,037.
