Fresh off the back of a winning treble at Forbury Park on Thursday night, Tim WIlliams will look to carry that form up the eastern side of the South Island to Addington tonight.
The talented young horseman secured victories with Caitlin Franco, Sweet As and Sauciehall last night and has the horsepower again to produce something similar.
Two of the five drives Williams has tonight hail from the All Stars stable of Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen – giving him extra confidence to make it an even more profitable weekend on the track.
The first is the promising Indiana Dreaming who although beaten last time was far from disgraced.
The Bettor’s Delight filly has won once and placed twice in her three career starts and Williams stated on the All Stars website this week that he felt she was the stronger of the two stable chances tonight.
“It just seems such a good race her,” he said.
The challenge won’t be easy though with the dour Pirate Bay certain to play a role in the race.
The free-going pacer has plenty of staying prowess and will put the favourite to the sword at some point for Dexter Dunn.
Williams also drives Duplicated in the blue colours with the silver stars and he too has been in great form in a short career and gets a cracking chance to add another win to the tally this evening.
The Somebeachsomewhere gelding won his first two starts and has been beaten narrowly in his two most recent appearances by talented types, Donegal Carrickfin and Mongolian Storm.
Tonight’s assignment on paper looks a little easier than those two battles so Duplicated is expected to be a big chance in the event.
“He ran home really well behind a smart three-year-old last time.
“As winning chances there isn’t much between the two of them.”
Williams has picked up the drive on the talented Neil Munro trained trotter, Jayceekay who on her day is as good as anything in the field she meets tonight while his best each-way chance might come in the final race when he partners the Regan Todd trained, Tupelo Mississippi – who was running on strongly from well back when last produced.
