It was an entertaining night of racing in Launceston last Sunday. It was the sole harness meeting of the week in Tasmania, with a 10-race card. Brodie Davis, Allan McDonough, and Mark Yole had a good night in the sulky, all recording multiple wins.

Two meetings will be held this weekend, Launceston on Friday and Hobart on Sunday.

The Stars

All For Dave – ended a run of second placings this season when claiming the Ulverstone Cup. The Kelly Reggett-trained gelding left brilliantly from the standing start to lead all the way. The win was driver Mark Yole’s 800th career winner. The win completed a driving double for him after winning on Keayang Fitzy earlier in the night.

Allan McDonough – claimed a driving treble on the card, including the Max McCormack, with the Clayton Tonkin-trained Best Deal winning by 60.9m. His other winners included Billy Tiger Khan in the two-year-old event, and Indelible continued her winning ways in the night’s final race.

Brodie Davis – is the in-form driver in the state at present, and he continued that form with his first driving treble on Sunday. His win included in-form pacer Nil Desperandum, Art Huntsman who won by 19.9m and Jo An Jo, who completed his treble later in the night.

Stepping Stones – ended a run of outs when she claimed her first win of the season in the Leis, for the Tasbred Fillies and Mares. The Heath Woods-driven mare was patiently driven by Jacob Duggan.
