Live On Broadway will make his second play for success for his Stable Of Stars owners as part of Thursday’s Humbletonian Day.

Fresh from an impressive trial at Kilmore last Tuesday, Live On Broadway will join the 10-race field of horses seeking their first win when he steps out at Maryborough at 5.10pm in the Harness Breeders Victoria 3YO Vicbred Pace.

Trainer Shannon McLean said the gelding by Art Major out of Broadway Play had trialled very well at Kilmore last Tuesday and should gain great benefit from Thursday’s second career start.

“It is just a chance to get him good racing experience,” McLean said. “I was happy with the way Live On Broadway trialled. Six horses trialled, he sat second last and then took off at the 500m. Some of the others were babies and were having their first trial, but I was happy with the way he hit the line.”

A comfortable winner of his trial (CLICK HERE FOR THE REPLAY), Live On Broadway has done “as much as he can” to prepare for race day, according to McLean.

“Live On Broadway has carried on well from the trial and Thursday seemed to be the right race. He was going to trial against similar horses, so we may as well race him and get him that race experience.

“He has drawn barrier 10. It is not ideal being on the back row and racing over the mile, but with the way he is racing at the moment – where he is trailing them up and finishing off – I’m not too worried about it.”

McLean said future plans for the three-year-old would be devised post Thursday’s race.
