South Australia has announced its two drivers that will carry the Croweaters colours in Launceston at The Australian Drivers’ Championship will be held at Launceston, Tasmania on Sunday November 15. The championships were the brain-child of HRA Chief Executive Officer Andrew Kelly, who said he was delighted that Launceston would host the 2015 event.

Last year the drivers’ championship was held here in SA. It will return to Globe Derby in 2016.

“In only its second year, the Australian Driving Championship has already succeeded in filling an important industry role – bringing together the best drivers from each state to compete for the title of Australian Driving Champion,” Andrew Kelly said.

South Australia will be represented by Ryan Hryhorec, and leading female driver, Dani Hill. Below are bios on both Ryan and Dani.

Ryan Hryhorec

  • Thirty-five years of age,ryan+hryhorec
  • Driving for 20 seasons,
  • Has a total of 8762 drives to date,
  • Has driven 1396 winners and 2345 places to date,
  • Horses he has driven have won a total of $4, 366,534 in prize money,
  • 2013/14 was his best season – drove 213 winners from 777 starts, and
  • Has driven over 100 winners a season on 5 occasions.

Dani Hill

  • Driving for 15 seasons,
  • Has had a total of 5522 drives,
  • Driven 918 winners and 1422 places,
  • Horses she has driven have won a total of $2,765,900 in prize money,
  • 2014/15 was her best season – drove 140 winners from 564 starts, and
  • Has driven over 100 winners a season on 2 occasions
