The Queensland Harness Centre at Norwell will become the new home for harness racing in the Sunshine State and will provide a state-of-the-art facility that is designed with animal and human welfare as its highest priority.
With racing expected to commence at the Queensland Harness Centre in 2026, Racing Queensland is commencing the stakeholder engagement process to understand the expectations of the industry for the project.
HAVE YOUR SAY
The first stage of the stakeholder engagement process is early engagement with industry participants and partners to help develop the project brief.
Industry participants and partners will be asked to provide feedback by the way of listing what they believe to be negotiables and non-negotiables for the Queensland Harness Centre.
Answers received from industry participants and partners will be utilised to form the project brief for the Queensland Harness Centre.
To have your say:
- Read the Queensland Harness Centre Initial Concepts; and
- Fill in the form.
Submissions close on April 4, 2023, 5pm (AEST).
Further industry engagement will take place following this initial stage to ensure any industry individuals and organisations that have missed out during this round will have the opportunity to contribute feedback towards the Queensland Harness Centre.
